BC Premier Stands Alone in Blind Support of Salmon Farming

IMG_2789

The Premier of British Columbia believes she is good for business, but BC businesses are signing a letter asking that the saScreen Shot 2015-05-29 at 3.27.05 PMlmon farming industry not be allowed to expand in British Columbia, Canada. Incredibly the Tofino-Long Beach Chamber of Commerce has signed.  They have 21 salmon farms and 2 processing plant.  If ever there was a town who should love salmon farms it is Tofino – but apparently they too don't want to see expansion.

When the Premier flag-waves for the salmon farming industry – she is standing all by herself, with the people who are paid by the industry.

The government of British Columbia needs to know that when they stand in support of salmon farms, they are standing all by themselves with those who are paid by the industry.

  1. Fish farms should not be located in any area where other wild water creatures are present.
