I have a question for DFO people, soon to be known as BEACH ROCKS & OCEANS (NO FISH LEFT)? Do your people in BC communicate with their counter-parts on the East coast? We have lost all of the Inner Bay of Fundy wild salmon stocks whose genetic heritage lead them straight to the OPEN NET AQUACULTURE SALMON PENS of the Quoddy/Grand Manan area of the Bay. Have the scientists in BC not heard what is going on in New Brunswick or do you view them in the same light as Norway, Ireland, Scotland and Chile? Hey guys this is not rocket science! SHARE THE WATER & YOU SHARE THE DISEASE it’s that simple! The Feds & the Province promote this disaster it is THEIR responsibility to FIX IT now!, while there is still something left!
Alexandra – I’ve been following your work since meeting Billy and reading your books two years ago, just a cruiser passing through, but completely with you in my heart on this matter. We’re not Canadian – what can we do besides send money and sign your petitions (do we count?) One of our kids is a marine affairs specialist . . . I give everyone I know the Alaska bumper/boat sticker “Friends DON’T let Friends EAT FARMED SALMON”. We support NRDC and the whales. We understand the ocean is but one bathtub. We ordered a dozen of your and Billy’s books to give to friends. Please let us know what more we can do. You know your work is critical, the time is now – we’ll help you educate folks any way we can. Know you are supported.
